Welcome to 'Online skills for 21st century teachers'

Enhance your understanding of digital citizenship and your ability to help learners protect themselves online, be kind to others and assess information they find.

In this free 4-week online course, you will learn about the following:

• Your and your learners' digital footprint
• The impact that your and your learners' words and actions can have online
• How to differentiate between different types of digital media

How do I sign up for the course?

STEP 1: Click or tap Create a free account or log in to your existing account. You need to be logged in to visit the course website.
STEP 2: After you have logged in, click or tap to visit our course website to see all available courses.
STEP 3: Enrol on your free course 
STEP 4: Start learning when the course begins.

How do I access the course after I have enrolled?

1. Log in to your free TeachingEnglish account.
2. If you have enrolled in the course, you will see 'MY PORTFOLIO' in the menu bar at the top of the page next to the Home button.
3. Move your mouse over MY PORTFOLIO to see the drop-down menu.
4. Click on ‘My courses’ to access your training.

Course format

This is a tutored/moderated course.  

Participant workbook

All course participants will receive a link to download a Participant Workbook, which they can use during the course to reflect on their learning and access additional resources.

Start dates and duration

The course begins on 4 April 2023 and lasts for four weeks. Each module involves approximately three hours of study.

Please note: Enrolment on this course closes on 24 April 2023.
